It hurts so badly to see our "right hand" hurting our "left hand." The first thing I learned when becoming baal teshuva is that the Jewish People were all one; that hurting one of our brothers is hurting our self. A speaker at a shiur I went to this week went even further - she said that we were one NESHAMA (soul). It's like making a batch of muffins and pouring it into 12 separate areas of a muffin pan. Every single one holds the same batter. We must begin to look at ourselves like that - one people - united in love for Hashem, ourselves and each other.Vickienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6271085499702865711.post-49892196459632868542012-01-04T19:36:07.493+02:002012-01-04T19:36:07.493+02:00Chaya..well said! Presently, news reports from the army are making life very difficult for the religious chayal. If these guys decide not to serve..we are in BIG TROUBLE.
Tolerance must be taught as a young age. Right, left, religious, haredi, secular, the one thing that we all have in common is that we are all Jews...Hashem's chosen people. Let's start acting the way Hashem wants us too and stop this CHILLUL HASHEM that seems to be fashionable these days.
MiriamThe Blogging Saftahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15713305306852476766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6271085499702865711.post-75922654403679910932011-08-07T13:27:16.900+03:002011-08-07T13:27:16.900+03:00Chaya, Klal Yisrael is certainly fortunate that yo...Chaya, Klal Yisrael is certainly fortunate that you and your family came home. And it is very true what you wrote about the insects and bugs being bigger than any where else. The first time I spotted a 'juke' crawling nonchalantly across my counter top on the kibbutz, I went 'bugs'. It didn't take me long to learn how fast these little guys can go when you are trying to chase them out. I never saw a bug this big in Canada. Same with the birds..the Negev has the most beautiful birds anywhere in the country and use should see the crows......they are enormous. I was speaking more of what THEIR objectives are. As you said, they only care about a Jew-free Middle East. We have been exiled in the past and it could, chas v'shalom, happen again but no one can take away our Torah, our devotion to HaShem or our love of our families and our People.ChayaGoldahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10832721357332559893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6271085499702865711.post-49569149791241035082011-03-24T21:13:44.332+02:002011-03-24T21:13:44.332+02:00This is very fine and passionate. The only point ...This is very fine and passionate. The only point I might dispute is in this well-intended passage: "...the one true thing that is dear to us, our treasured Homeland." It IS very dear to us, as it was given to us by G-d -- as were the other things that are dear to us, such as His Torah, this wonderful Nation, our children, and so on. We are blessed to have many gifts from Him that are of great value to us. I do not know if our enemies have so much variety. They seem to ONLY care about a Jew-free Middle East.rutimizrachihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06809119908148195009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6271085499702865711.post-33377728504059165642011-03-24T15:20:03.713+02:002011-03-24T15:20:03.713+02:00Well put Chaya, keep up the writing.Well put Chaya, keep up the writing.Malkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12031869663374113873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6271085499702865711.post-30141311978383357982011-02-02T06:08:05.966+02:002011-02-02T06:08:05.966+02:00Chaya, so beautiful and so true. Walking the dogs yesterday in one of those torrential downpours, I could also feel Hashem's love for us. In the US, where they are being hit with one snowstorm and ice storm after another, the concern is basically how many more days of school are the kids going to miss and how will I ever dig out my car to get to work. Even the frummies have lost track of the meaning of Hashem's messages. May we always merit to see them and feel them and receive comfort from them, in spite of what goes on in the world!Vickienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6271085499702865711.post-81968087989432125542010-11-29T21:51:58.094+02:002010-11-29T21:51:58.094+02:00You have such Emuna, Chaya!
